...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT BOURBON AND NORTHERN CRAWFORD
COUNTIES THROUGH 1000 PM CDT...

At 925 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from near Uniontown to 6 miles north of Walnut to
Erie. Movement was east at 40 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Fort Scott, Frontenac, Girard, Arma, Marmaton, Mulberry, Franklin,
Arcadia, Uniontown, Walnut, Redfield, Hepler, Croweburg, Yale,
Petersburg, Farlington, Brazilton, Porterville, Greenbush, and Ringo.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
