...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 130 AM EDT THURSDAY...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of east central New York, including the
  following counties, Warren and Washington.

* WHEN...Until 130 AM EDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
  Water over roadways.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 1158 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
    thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
    shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain
    have fallen.
  - Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are expected
    over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
    flooding.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Granville, Hartford, Comstock, Glens Falls North, Queensbury,
    Kingsbury, Fort Ann, Baldwin Corner, Smiths Basin, Vaughns
    Corners, West Fort Ann, Tripoli, Pattens Mills, Oneida
    Corners, West Granville, Lake Sunnyside, Slyboro, North
    Granville, Truthville and Paradise Beach.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are
potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded
roads. Find an alternate route.
