...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 4 AM EDT EARLY THIS MORNING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of east Tennessee, including the following
  counties, Bradley, McMinn, Monroe and Polk.

* WHEN...Until 400 AM EDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 157 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
    thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
    shortly in the advisory area.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Cleveland, Athens, Madisonville, Benton, Etowah, Charleston,
    Englewood, Vonore, Tellico Plains, Calhoun, Bullet Creek,
    Mount Vernon, Hiwassee Ocoee State Park, Dentville,
    Tariffville, Fort Loudon State Park, McGee Carson Peninsula,
    Tasso and Hopewell.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
