...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 930 PM CDT /1030 PM EDT/ THIS
EVENING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...Portions of southeast Alabama, including the following
  county, Houston, Panhandle Florida, including the following
  county, Jackson, and southwest Georgia, including the following
  counties, Early, Miller and Seminole.

* WHEN...Until 930 PM CDT /1030 PM EDT/.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 738 PM CDT /838 PM EDT/, Doppler radar indicated heavy
    rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or
    expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and
    3 inches of rain have fallen.
  - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches are expected
    over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
    flooding.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Colquitt, Cottonwood, Donalsonville, Malone, Greenwood,
    Gordon, Iron City, Jakin, Bascom, Lucy, Crosby, Chattahoochee
    SP, Saffold, Hornsville, Steam Mill, Riverturn, Howards Mill,
    Little Hope, Killarney and Grangeburg.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
