Mineral and Southern Lyon Counties-
Including the cities of Hawthorne, Yerington, Smith Valley, Mina,
and Schurz
1006 AM PDT Fri Mar 16 2018

...Winter weather today into Saturday...

A winter storm is moving across the region. While snow showers are
expected to develop this afternoon, they are not expected to
impact valley travel in Mineral and southern Lyon Counties until
this evening, with slushy conditions possible on Highway 95 after
6 or 7 PM. For the higher elevations of western Mineral and southern
Lyon Counties, including Sweetwater and Anchorite Summits, snow
could begin to affect roads after 5 PM.

If you have travel plans along Highway 95 through Mineral County
or are planning to use Highway 95 as an alternate route, check
travel conditions as snow covered roads may double your driving
time this evening into early Saturday.
