...A BRIEF FREEZE OBSERVED IN DOWNTOWN CHARLESTON AFTER A RECORD
SPAN OF 764 DAYS ABOVE FREEZING...

The low temperature observed at the official climate site in
Downtown Charleston dropped to 32 degrees this morning. This is the
first time since January 8, 2018, that the temperature reached
freezing and marks the end of the longest span of temperatures
above freezing since records began at the site in 1870. The
Downtown Charleston climate site is located near Riley Waterfront
Park.
