Mostly clear skies and humid air was in place across the region
Thursday morning thanks to broad high pressure centered over
Michigan. Morning low temperatures ranged from 56 in Freeport, to
64 in Fairfield.

Mostly sunny skies, warm temperatures, and humid conditions will
be on tap for the region today as southerly winds strengthen. Very
warm air may spark isolated showers and thunderstorms west of the
Mississippi River this afternoon, but most locations will remain
dry. Afternoon highs will climb into the middle 80s to near 90.
Skies will become partly cloudy overnight as lows tonight drop
into the lower to middle 60s. An isolated shower or storm will
remain possible west of the Mississippi.
