Public Information Statement
National Weather Service Grand Junction CO

The first wave of a prolonged atmospheric river event brought moderate snow
to western Colorado yesterday evening through this morning. Higher snow
accumulations favored the central and northern mountains during the initial
portion of the storm, though light accumulations were reported across our
southern ranges. Showers will continue to fall over higher terrain this
evening, becoming more widespread overnight. Precipitation will then spread
south late tonight and continue through Sunday before showers taper off
from north to south. The following reports are from the previous 24 hours
and are considered preliminary.
