...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS OVER LAKE MICHIGAN...

The areas affected include...
  Nearshore and Open Waters from St Joseph to Holland MI...

At 609 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated strong thunderstorms, capable
of producing winds to around 30 knots. These thunderstorms were
located along a line extending from 27 nm northeast of Wilmette
Harbor to 13 nm east of Montrose Harbor, moving east at 20 knots.

  St. Joseph Light around 755 PM EDT.
  South Haven Light around 800 PM EDT.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Mariners can expect gusty winds to around 30 knots, locally higher
waves, and lightning strikes. Boaters should seek safe harbor
immediately until these storms pass.

Intense lightning is occurring with these storms. If caught on the
open water stay below deck if possible, keep away from ungrounded
metal objects.
