...The National Weather Service in Chicago has issued a Flood Warning
for the following rivers in Illinois...

  Pecatonica River near Shirland affecting Winnebago County

.Heavy rains of up to six inches fell across portions of
northern Illinois during the past 24 hours. This has caused
rises along the Pecatonica River.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Safety message...If you encounter a flooded roadway...turn around and
find an alternate route.

The National Weather Service in Chicago has issued a

* Flood Warning for
  The Pecatonica River near Shirland.
* from Wednesday evening to Saturday morning.
* At  900 AM Tuesday the stage was 9.7 feet.
* Flood stage is 12.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...Rise above flood stage by Wednesday evening and continue
  to rise to near 12.4 feet by Thursday afternoon.The river will fall
  below flood stage by Saturday morning.
* Impact...At 12.0 feet...Water overflows low lying areas near the
  river.
