FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR UPPER MICHIGAN
National Weather Service Marquette MI
427 AM EDT Sun Jul 5 2020

...CONTINUED WARM AND HUMID CONDITIONS WITH CHANCE OF
THUNDERSTORMS...

.DISCUSSION: Continued hot conditions are again expected today, with
much of the interior expecting highs in the low 90s. By the
lakeshores, expect highs in the upper 70s to low 80s. Afternoon
mixing will allow some drier air to mix to the surface and allow RH
values to fall into the 30s away from the lakeshores. Afternoon
thunderstorms will be possible mainly in the west and central
portions of Upper Michigan.

Beginning Monday, the pattern looks to become more active,
presenting the region with multiple chances of showers and
thunderstorms this coming week. Additionally, this week is projected
to have temperatures well above normal coupled with dewpoints in the
mid-upper 60s. This will translate to much of the interior regions
seeing RH values above 40% this week.
