FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR UPPER MICHIGAN
National Weather Service Marquette MI
518 AM EDT Sat Jun 19 2021

...FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS ARE NOT EXPECTED TODAY OR TOMORROW....

.DISCUSSION: High pressure will build in today, allowing for
partly cloudy skies. While high temperatures across Upper
Michigan climb into the upper 60s to low 70s away from the
immediate lakeshores, minimum RH values are expected to remain 40
percent or higher in the east and near 35 percent in the interior
west. Dinural mixing will allow for some afternoon northerly wind
gusts of 20 mph to reach the surface in the east.

A low pressure will develop in the Upper Great Lakes tomorrow
evening and get pushed out by an upstream cold front overnight.
Through the day, southerly winds of 5 to 10 mph will bring in a
more moist airmass and keep RH values above 45 percent. Highs are
expected to climb into the 70s. While guidance has slowed the
onset of precipitation, widespread rain still looks likely. Rain
could move into western Upper Michigan by late morning to early
afternoon and slowly progress eastward through the remainder of
the afternoon and overnight.
