...THE FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 100 AM CST FOR
NORTHWESTERN WARRICK...SOUTHEASTERN GIBSON AND PIKE COUNTIES...

At 1238 AM CST, Doppler radar that between two to nearly four inches
of rain have fallen across the warned area. Although little to no
additional rain is expected overnight, law enforcement has reported
road flooding in parts of northwest Warrick County this evening.
Although this Flash Flood Warning will be allowed to expire at 1 am
CST, an Areal Flood Warning has been issued until 330 am CST to
address areas where water continues to recede from flooded roads and
low lying areas. Persons should continue to avoid flooded roadways
and seek alternate, but safe routes of travel overnight.

HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by heavy rain.

SOURCE...Radar indicated and observed.

IMPACT...Flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
highways, streets and underpasses as well as other drainage
         and low lying areas.

Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Oakland City, Lynnville, Winslow, Elberfeld, Francisco, Somerville,
Spurgeon and Mackey.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small
creeks and streams, country roads, farmland, and other low lying
spots.

Please report flooding to your local law enforcement agency when you
can do so safely.
