TEMPERATURE FOR LAKE YELLOWSTONE IN DECEMBER WAS 17.8 DEGREES WHICH
WAS 4.8 DEGREES ABOVE NORMAL. THIS WAS THE 3RD WARMEST DECEMBER
SINCE RECORDS STARTED IN 1995. THE WARMEST READING OF THE MONTH WAS
41 DEGREES ON THE 2ND AND 3RD...AND BOTH DAYS BROKE PREVIOUS DAILY
RECORDS. THE 2ND BROKE 34 FROM 2012...AND THE 3RD BROKE THE 1998
RECORD OF 36. THE 4TH HIT 38 DEGREES...WHICH BROKE THE 2014 RECORD
OF 36. THE COLDEST READING WAS 12 DEGREES BELOW ZERO ON THE 17TH.

TOTAL PRECIPITATION AT LAKE YELLOWSTONE WAS 4.16 INCHES...WHICH WAS
177 PERCENT OF NORMAL...AND MAKING IT THE 3RD WETTEST DECEMBER SINCE
RECORDS STARTED IN 1995. THE WETTEST 24-HOUR PERIOD DURING THE MONTH
WAS THE 14TH WHEN 0.54 INCHES OF PRECIPITATION FELL. THIS ALSO BROKE
