.Synopsis for Eastern North Carolina coastal waters...
High pressure briefly builds into our waters tonight bringing
benign boating conditions to the area. Another front will cross
the area on Tuesday. At the same time a strong ridge of high
pressure builds in from the north and a low slides E'wards well to
the south tightening the pressure gradient. This will bring a
rather potent post frontal N'rly surge behind the departing front
starting Tue night with hazardous marine conditions lingering
across at least portions of our coastal waters potentially into
this weekend.
