.Synopsis for Eastern North Carolina coastal waters...
A shortwave tracks across the region today bringing an increased
chance for showers and thunderstorms this afternoon and evening
with a weak front tracking across the region on Wed bringing yet
another threat for scattered showers and thunderstorms to our
waters. This shortwave/front will also act to bring periods of
elevated winds and seas to portions of our coastal waters and
larger sounds this morning and once again tonight as the pressure
gradient briefly tightens. Next chance for hazardous marine
conditions looks to be on THurs/Fri as the pressure gradient
pinches between the Bermuda high to the east and a low well to the
north.
