 Hazardous Weather Outlook
AMZ700-230315-  1015 AM AST Thu Feb 22 2024    .SYNOPSIS FOR PUERTO RICO AND THE U.S. VIRGIN ISLANDS WATERS...  A weakening cold front and a pre-frontal trough will continue to  push eastward across the regional waters during the rest of today  while a surface high pressure ridge builds across the southwest  Atlantic waters. An area of low pressure north of the region will aid  in generating moderate to locally fresh west to northwest winds  especially across the local Atlantic waters and passages. Choppy and  hazardous seas with isolated thunderstorms and occasional gusty winds  will remain possible over the coastal waters and passages. On  Friday, a high pressure system will develop and spread over the  western Atlantic. Winds will then become northeasterly and become  light to moderate thereafter and into the weekend.    $$
