.SYNOPSIS FOR PUERTO RICO AND THE U.S. VIRGIN ISLANDS WATERS...
A surface high pressure system over the central Atlantic and a
tropical wave moving across the region today will promote moderate
to locally fresh trade winds through the rest of the weekend.
Additionally, thunderstorm activity is expected across the local
waters and passages as the tropical wave moves through the region.
Wind-driven, choppy to hazardous seas are expected from this evening
through Sunday, particularly across the offshore Atlantic and
Caribbean waters, and the Mona Passage, where small craft advisories
are in effect. Winds and seas are forecast to improve early next
workweek.
