High pressure over the area slowly retreats into the Maritimes
through Wednesday, as the surface low meanders south of Nova
Scotia. A stronger storm system approaches from the west
Wednesday night, then begins to consolidate to a coastal low
south of Cape Cod on Thursday before passing near or along the
Maine coast Friday. The low moves east into the Canadian
Maritimes this weekend.
