Southwest winds increase today ahead of an approaching cold front,
bringing gusty conditions occasionally approaching gale force.
Showers and thunderstorms will cross the waters this afternoon and
evening. There will also be a return of wildfire smoke, which may
lower visibility at times. High pressure returns tonight and lingers
until the middle of next week when the next front approaches.
