.Synopsis for the Long Island and Connecticut coastal waters...
A warm front across the area into early this evening will reverse
course as a cold front moves across the waters tonight. A large
dome of high pressure centered north of the Great Lakes will then
gradually build east through the week. The anomalously strong high
to the north and a frontal boundary to the south will result in a
tight pressure gradient. Expect a prolonged period of strong NE
winds with gales expected on the ocean waters from mid to late
week.
