   ANZ500-272100-  1000 AM EST Tue Jan 27 2026      .SYNOPSIS FOR THE TIDAL POTOMAC AND MD PORTION OF THE CHESAPEAKE BAY...    High pressure will begin to settle to the south today before a  clipper system tracks across the waters by mid-week. Small Craft  Advisories will likely be needed in response to this clipper system  during the middle to latter portions of the week. Freezing spray  advisories are possible during periods of elevated winds this week.  A coastal storm is also possible this weekend. Should it track close  enough to the eastern seaboard, Gale Warnings would be possible.    $$

Waves  1 to 2 ft.  TONIGHT  SW winds 10 to 15 kt...becoming NW 15 to 20 kt in the  late evening and overnight. Gusts up to 25 kt. Waves 2 to 3 ft.  WED  NW winds 15 to 20 kt...diminishing to 5 to 10 kt in the  afternoon. Waves 2 ft.  WED NIGHT  NW winds 10 to 15 kt. Gusts up to 20 kt after midnight.  Waves 1 to 2 ft.  THU  NW winds 10 to 15 kt with gusts to 20 kt. Waves 2 ft.  THU NIGHT  NW winds 10 to 15 kt. Waves 2 ft.  FRI  NW winds 15 to 20 kt. Waves 1 to 2 ft.  SAT  N winds 15 to 20 kt...increasing to 30 to 40 kt. Waves 3 ft...  building to 6 ft. A chance of snow.    $$
