   GMZ200-080930-  403 PM CDT Sat Sep 7 2024      .SYNOPSIS FOR THE MIDDLE TEXAS COASTAL WATERS...    Strong to very strong offshore flow will persist through Sunday  with Gale force wind gusts focused over the northern offshore  waters this evening. Northeasterly winds will only slightly  decrease Sunday night to 20-25 knots. Moderate to strong north-  northeasterly flow will continue early in the workweek, becoming  moderate late Monday. Small Craft Advisory conditions are expected  to persist through Monday evening due to these elevated winds. An  influx of tropical moisture associated with an an area of low  pressure that has developed over the Bay of Campeche will occur as  the system moves into the western Gulf of Mexico late this  weekend and propagates towards the coast in the early to middle  part of next week. Medium rain chances tonight through Sunday  night will increase to high Monday through Wednesday. Mariners  should continue to monitor the forecast as there is a high chance  a tropical depression forms over the southwest to west Gulf  through the next 7 days as the disturbances shifts northward.    $$
