   GMZ500-GMZ501-222300-  537 AM CDT Wed Jul 22 2026      .SYNOPSIS FOR PASCAGOULA TO ATCHAFALAYA RIVER OUT 60 NM...    The center of Tropical Storm Bertha will move west along the  Louisiana gulf coast today through Thursday. As the system moves  over our local waters, expect winds and seas to increase with  tropical storm conditions possible for most if not all the local  waters. The system will move west of the region Thursday and  conditions should improve going into the upcoming weekend.    $$

A chance of thunderstorms this morning.  Showers. Thunderstorms likely this afternoon.  TONIGHT  Tropical storm conditions expected. South winds 25 to  30 knots with gusts up to 55 knots, diminishing to 20 to 25 knots  with gusts up to 30 knots after midnight. Seas 5 to 6 feet,  occasionally to 8 feet. Showers and thunderstorms likely, mainly in  the evening.  THURSDAY  Tropical storm conditions possible. South winds 20 to  25 knots with gusts up to 30 knots. Seas 4 to 5 feet, occasionally  to 6 feet. A slight chance of showers and thunderstorms early in the  morning, then a chance of showers and thunderstorms late in the  morning.
