   GMZ800-230815-  Synopsis for the coastal waters from Bonita Beach to Suwannee River-  203 PM EST Thu Feb 22 2024      .SYNOPSIS...  High pressure will hold over the waters for the next 24 hours with  pleasant weather expected. Winds will remain less than 15 knots and  seas 2 feet or less through Friday. The trailing edge of a weak cold  front moves through the eastern gulf waters on Friday producing a  chance of showers and a stray thunderstorm. An uptick in winds and  seas can also be expected in the vicinity of this front with SCEC  winds around 15-20 knots and seas building up to 3-6 feet. The front  pushes east of the area by early Saturday with clearing conditions  expected and a slow improvement to winds and seas on Sunday and into  next week as high pressure builds into the area.    $$

Seas 1 foot or less.  Bay and inland waters light chop.  FRIDAY  South winds 10 to 15 knots with gusts up to 25 knots.  Seas 2 to 3 feet. Bay and inland waters a moderate chop.  FRIDAY NIGHT  Southwest winds 10 to 15 knots, becoming  northwest after midnight. Seas 2 to 4 feet, occasionally to  5 feet. Bay and inland waters a moderate chop. A slight chance of  showers and thunderstorms in the evening.  SATURDAY  North winds 10 to 15 knots with gusts up to 20 knots.  Seas 3 to 5 feet, occasionally to 6 feet. Bay and inland waters a  moderate chop.  SATURDAY NIGHT  Northwest winds 10 to 15 knots. Seas 3 to  4 feet, occasionally to 5 feet. Bay and inland waters a moderate  chop.  SUNDAY  North winds 10 to 15 knots. Seas 2 to 4 feet,  occasionally to 5 feet. Bay and inland waters a moderate chop.  SUNDAY NIGHT  North winds around 10 knots, becoming northeast  after midnight. Seas around 2 feet. Bay and inland waters light  chop.  MONDAY  East winds around 10 knots, becoming south in the  afternoon. Seas around 2 feet. Bay and inland waters light chop.  MONDAY NIGHT  Northwest winds 5 to 10 knots, becoming east  after midnight. Seas 1 foot or less. Bay and inland waters light  chop.  TUESDAY  East winds around 10 knots, becoming southeast in the  afternoon. Seas 1 foot or less. Bay and inland waters light chop.    Winds and seas higher in and near thunderstorms.    $$
