   PZZ500-171115-  205 PM PST Wed Jan 16 2019    .Synopsis for the Central California Coast and Bays Including  the Monterey Bay...Greater Farallones...and Cordell Bank  National Marine Sanctuaries...    A strong storm system will move across the coastal waters  through this evening, bringing significant marine hazards.  Widespread gale force southeast winds ahead of the frontal passage  will bring steep fresh swell. Local storm force gusts are  possible through coastal gaps such as under the Golden Gate  bridge. In addition, isolated to scattered thunderstorms across  the waters through this evening which can produce waterspouts,  erratic gusty winds, rough seas, lightning, and hail. A very  large and long period west swell will arrive Thursday morning and  persist into Friday.    $$
   PZZ540-171115-  Coastal Waters from Point Arena to Point Reyes California out to  10 nm-  205 PM PST Wed Jan 16 2019    GALE WARNING IN EFFECT THROUGH LATE TONIGHT    REST OF TODAY  S winds 30 to 35 kt with gusts up to 50 kt. Wind  waves 9 to 14 ft. W swell 6 to 8 ft at 17 seconds. Rain and a  chance of thunderstorms.  TONIGHT  SW winds 25 to 35 kt with gusts up to 50 kt. Wind  waves 8 to 11 ft. W swell 6 to 8 ft at 17 seconds. Showers and a  chance of thunderstorms.  THU  SW winds 15 to 25 kt with gusts up to 30 kt. Wind waves  5 to 8 ft. W swell 17 to 22 ft at 21 seconds. Showers and a  slight chance of thunderstorms.  THU NIGHT  NW winds 5 to 15 kt. Wind waves 2 ft or less. W  swell 18 to 22 ft at 17 seconds.  FRI  SE winds 10 to 20 kt with gusts up to 25 kt. Wind waves  3 to 4 ft. W swell 12 to 16 ft at 15 seconds.  FRI NIGHT  SE winds 10 to 20 kt with gusts up to 25 kt. Wind  waves 3 to 4 ft. W swell 8 to 11 ft at 13 seconds.  SAT  S winds 5 to 15 kt. Wind waves 2 ft or less. W swell 8 to  10 ft and SW up to 2 ft. A chance of rain.  SUN  NW winds 10 to 20 kt. Wind waves 3 to 4 ft. W swell 6 to  8 ft. Rain likely.    Winds and wind waves higher in and near thunderstorms.    $$
