NWS Marine Forecast

AMZ700-191115-  613 PM AST Sun Jan 18 2026    .SYNOPSIS FOR PUERTO RICO AND THE U.S. VIRGIN ISLANDS WATERS...    The broad surface high pressure will continue to strengthen over the  central Atlantic during the next few days. Additionally, expect a  combination of fresh to locally strong east to northeast winds and a  fading long-period northwesterly swell, resulting in choppy to rough  seas and hazardous marine conditions the rest of the weekend. This  strong surface high pressure will maintain a cold front, which is  expected to exit the eastern seaboard later tonight and move over the  western Atlantic, without reaching the northeastern Caribbean early  this week. Also, it will tighten the local pressure gradient,  extending the period of fresh to strong easterlies through at least  the middle of the week.    $$
