Northeast winds will prevail over the waters through much of this
week with high pressure centered south of Hudson Bay slowly sliding
east. The gradient associated with the high pressure will continue
to strengthen, leading to freshening NE winds. An area of low
pressure may start to take shape off the East Coast mid week and
could become a strong slow moving system as it drifts northward into
the weekend. The track continues to have large variability while
confidence is high that strengthening NE winds and building seas will
impact the waters through the end of the week.
