High pressure will prevail over the Northeast through Tuesday before
retreating northward towards the Canadian Maritimes Tuesday night. A
cut off low in the western Atlantic will send some moisture into the
Gulf of Maine Wednesday. Increasing easterly flow will develop
Wednesday night as a coastal low starts to take shape near southern
New England. This low will slowly track through the Gulf of Maine
Thursday into Friday.
