   GMZ005-301430-  Synopsis for Keys coastal waters from Ocean Reef to Dry Tortugas  1028 PM EDT Sun Mar 29 2026    SYNOPSIS  A frontal boundary is currently draped from north of  the Bahamas through South Florida and across the Gulf towards  Mexico. This front will continue to slowly drift southward this  tonight resulting in freshening northeast to east breezes. In the  wake of the front, strong Canadian high pressure will traverse  across the Mid- Atlantic tonight. This high will continue to move  eastward and setup shop across the central North Atlantic for much  of the week. This will promote mainly fresh to strong easterly  breezes through at mid-late week.    The Approximate Shoreward Edge of the Gulf Stream as of March 28...    26 NM South of Dry Tortugas Light...on Loggerhead Key.  38 NM South of Cosgrove Shoal Light...off the Marquesas Keys.  36 NM South of Sand Key Light...off Key West.  24 NM South of Looe Key...off Big Pine Key.  20 NM Southeast of Sombrero Key Light...off Marathon.  15 NM Southeast of Alligator Reef Light...off Islamorada.  7 NM Southeast of Molasses Reef Light...off Key Largo.  3 NM Southeast of Carysfort Reef Light...off Ocean Reef.    Gulf Stream Information Courtesy of the National Weather Service in  Key West based on products from NASA SPoRT and RTOFS.    $$
