   GMZ001-180830-  Synopsis for the Gulf of Mexico  418 PM EDT Tue Jul 17 2018      .SYNOPSIS...Weak high pressure extends E to W across the Gulf  along about 25N and will generally prevail throughout the week.  Active convection is expected across the northern Gulf during the  next several days. A surface trough will move off the Yucatan  Peninsula each evening, accompanied by fresh nocturnal winds.    $$
