.Synopsis for the Central California Coast and Bays Including
the Monterey Bay...Greater Farallones...and Cordell Bank National
Marine Sanctuaries...
Bands of thunderstorms moving southwest over the outer waters
south of Bodega Bay, with frequent lightning, gusty and erratic
winds, and small hail associated with the storms. Thunderstorm
potential decreasing this afternoon. Localized gusty winds
continue today, with the strongest gusts during afternoon and
evening hours. This will create hazardous conditions for small
craft from the Golden Gate to Half Moon Bay and from Santa Cruz
Harbor to Point Sur. Winds shift to the northwest on Friday and
build through the weekend. Mixed seas continue through the week
with swells from the northwest at 9 to 12 seconds and the south
at 16 to 18 seconds.
