Meanwhile, a trough  will persist along the northern California coast. The low will  stall along the central California coast Wed night, then drift  back S through the central waters Thu before dissipating over the  outer southern waters Thu night. The coastal trough will expand S  along the rest of the California coast Thu night and persist  through Fri night before dissipating Sat. A cold front will move  SE into the northern waters Fri night. Low pressure will develop  along the front to the W of the area Fri night, then lift NE  along the front Sat, stall over the outer northern waters, then  move back S Sat night.    $$
