Marine Weather Statement National Weather Service Charleston SC 1244 PM EST Mon Mar 2 2026 AMZ352-354-022030- Waters from Edisto Beach SC to Savannah GA out 20 NM- Waters from Savannah GA to Altamaha Sound GA out 20 NM, including Grays Reef National Marine Sanctuary- 1244 PM EST Mon Mar 2 2026 ...PATCHY DENSE SEA FOG ACROSS THE LOWER SC AND GA NEARSHORE WATERS THIS AFTERNOON... In the wake of a cold front, areas of fog and drizzle has developed across the lower SC and SE GA nearshore waters this afternoon. Some fog may become locally dense until 3 PM, reducing visibility to less than a half mile. Visibility is expected to gradually improve late this afternoon, but lingering fog may keep visibility limited to 1 to 3 miles. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Mariners are urged to navigate with extreme care. If you must navigate in these conditions, proceed with caution. Use proper fog signals, including fog horns. Make sure all navigational running lights are on. Please relay any reports of sea fog to the Charleston or Tybee Island Coast Guard stations and ask them to immediately forward your report to the National Weather Service in Charleston. && $$
