The National Weather Service in Jacksonville has issued a

* Special Marine Warning for...
  Coastal waters from Fernandina Beach to St. Augustine FL out 20
  NM...
  Coastal waters from St. Augustine to Flagler Beach FL out 20 NM...
  Waters from Fernandina Beach to St. Augustine FL from 20 to 60
  NM...
  Waters from St. Augustine to Flagler Beach FL from 20 to 60 NM...

* Until 1030 AM EDT.

* At 852 AM EDT, severe thunderstorms capable of producing
  waterspouts were located along a line extending from 36 nm west of
  Jekyll Island to 36 nm west of Palm Valley to 24 nm northeast of
  Suwannee River, moving east at 70 knots.

  HAZARD...Waterspouts, wind gusts in excess of 50 knots, and large
           hail.

  SOURCE...Radar.

  IMPACT...Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally
           hazardous seas. Boats could suffer significant structural
           damage in high winds and hail. Small craft could capsize
           in suddenly higher waves.

* Locations impacted include...
  Dorothy Louise Barge, Casablanca Reef, Nassau Sound Approach Buoy
  6a, Vilano Beach, Palm Valley, Nine Mile Reef, Saint Augustine,
  Talbot Island, Saint Johns Lighted Buoy, Navy Drydock, Big Georges
  Reef, Atlantic Beach, Saint Augustine Beach, Mayport, Tournament
  Reef, Anna Reef, Amelia City, South Ponte Vedra Beach, Jacksonville
  Beach, and Butler Beach.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Boaters should seek safe harbor immediately until these storms pass.
Wind gusts in excess of 50 knots, large hail, high waves, dangerous
lightning, and heavy rain are possible with these storms. If your
vessel is caught offshore, immediately secure for heavy weather.
Ensure all crew members are wearing USCG approved Type I life jackets
and nonessential crew are below decks. Deploy jack lines and
harnesses if available. Check life saving equipment, including
batteries on handheld radios, for readiness.

Report severe weather to the Coast Guard or the National Weather
Service.
