For the Small Craft Advisory, north winds 15 to 25 kt with gusts up to 30 kt and seas 5 to 7 ft expected. * WHERE...Southeast Georgia and Northeast Florida coastal waters from Altamaha Sound GA to Flagler Beach FL from 20 to 60 NM. * WHEN...For the Gale Warning, until 7 AM EST Saturday. For the Small Craft Advisory, from 7 AM to 7 PM EST Saturday. * IMPACTS...Strong winds will cause hazardous seas which could capsize or damage vessels and reduce visibility. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Mariners should consider altering plans to avoid possible hazardous conditions. Remain in port, seek safe harbor, alter course, and/or secure the vessel for severe wind and seas. A Gale Warning means winds and or frequent wind gusts of 34 to 47 knots are imminent or occurring. Operating a vessel in gale conditions requires experience and properly equipped vessels. It is highly recommended that mariners without the proper experience seek safe harbor prior to the onset of gale conditions. A Small Craft Advisory means that wind speeds of 20 to 33 knots, and/or seas 7 feet or higher, are expected to produce hazardous conditions for small craft. Inexperienced boaters, especially those operating smaller vessels should avoid navigating in these conditions. && $$
