This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of Puerto Rico.

.DAY ONE...Tonight

.Lightning...Isolated thunderstorms, particularly across
central to northwestern sections, as well as portions of the San
Juan metro. Stay alert and be prepared to take shelter if storms
develop.

.Excessive Rainfall...Flooding in urban areas, roads, small
streams, and washes, particularly across lightning-risk areas.
There is a low chance of isolated flash floods. Elsewhere, plan
for water ponding on roads and in poorly drained areas.

.Excessive Heat...This level of heat affects most individuals
sensitive to heat, especially those without effective cooling
and/or adequate hydration. Those extremely sensitive to heat face
the highest risk. Some health systems and heat-sensitive
industries could be affected.

.Rip Currents...Life-threatening rip currents are possible in the
surf zone, particularly across northern and eastern beaches of
Puerto Rico and Culebra. Isolated stronger rip currents may occur
elsewhere, especially near piers, jetties, and channels.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Sunday

Daily afternoon thunderstorms will bring a limited to elevated
risk of flooding and dangerous lightning, mainly across central,
western, and northern Puerto Rico. Mid to late week, an
approaching frontal boundary and pre-frontal trough will increase
moisture and instability, leading to more widespread and longer-
lasting thunderstorms and a higher flood and lightning threat.
Elevated heat impacts will persist through the workweek and
continue into the weekend and early next week. A moderate rip
current risk remains along northern and eastern beaches, but long-
period northerly swells arriving this weekend will create
hazardous to potentially life-threatening surf and rip currents.
Increasing winds will further worsen marine and coastal conditions
and may also pose wind hazards along exposed coastal areas this
weekend.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation will not be needed.
