...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM APPROACHING THE WATERS...

The areas affected include...
  Cape Cod Bay...
  Coastal waters east of Ipswich Bay and the Stellwagen Bank
  National Marine Sanctuary...
  Massachusetts Bay and Ipswich Bay...

At 1010 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated a strong thunderstorm,
capable of producing winds to around 40 knots. This thunderstorm was
located near Kingston, or 10 nm southwest of Duxbury Pier Light,
moving east at 30 knots.

Locations impacted include...
The East End Of Cape Cod Canal, Race Point, Plymouth Light, Duxbury
Pier Light, Cape Cod Bay, Wellfleet Harbor, Barnstable Harbor, North
Eastham, Manomet Point, and Gurnet Point.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Expect gusty winds to around 30 knots...briefly rough seas and
lightning strikes. Consider heading for safe harbor until this storm
passes.

  Bank National Marine Sanctuary.

* WHEN...Until 5 PM EDT Thursday.

* IMPACTS...Conditions will be hazardous to small craft.
