This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for the Maryland portion of the
Chesapeake Bay, Tidal Potomac River, and adjacent counties in
central Maryland and northern Virginia as well as the District of
Columbia.

.DAY ONE...Tonight

Flood Warnings remain in effect for much of the area overnight.
Please avoid any closed or flooded roads, and refer to the latest
warnings for further details.

A Gale Warning is in effect for the waters tonight.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday

Strong northwest winds may gust around 50 mph resulting in
isolated wind damage Friday afternoon through Saturday morning.

The Gale Warning goes through Friday night, and may need to be
extended into Saturday.

Spotter activation is not expected at this time.

occurring. Operating a vessel in gale conditions requires
experience and a properly equipped vessel. Recreational boaters
