Through 1230 PM, isolated showers and thunderstorms will wax and
wane as part of cloud lines over the nearshore waters surrounding the
Florida Keys and the northern half of the Florida Straits. Showers
are nearly stationary. The strongest activity, near Islamorada, will
be capable of gusty and erratic winds of 15 to 20 knots, stray
lightning strikes, and reduced visibility in heavy downpours. Island
communities may observe an additional tenth to a quarter of an inch
of rainfall. Waterspouts are a potential risk along the offshore
cloud lines.
