.NOW...
Through 700 pm, scattered showers with embedded thunderstorms will
move southeast across the Florida Keys and surrounding nearshore and
offshore waters. The stronger activity, located in the vicinity of
the Upper and Middle Keys, will be capable of heavy downpours
reducing visbilities, wind gusts of near 25 knots, and occasional
lightning strikes. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.25 to 0.75 inches
with locally higher amounts expected between Marathon and Islamorada.
Rain has been falling at a heavy rate with a slow storm motion and may
lead to localized ponding on roadways.
