...GALE WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM WEDNESDAY MORNING THROUGH
LATE THURSDAY NIGHT...

* WHAT...West winds 25 to 35 knots with gusts up to 45 knots and
  waves 9 to 14 feet possible.

* WHERE...The nearshore waters of Lake Erie from Maumee Bay OH
  to Ripley NY, and the open waters of Lake Erie from Maumee Bay
  OH to Buffalo NY.

* WHEN...From Wednesday morning through late Thursday night.

* IMPACTS...Strong winds can cause hazardous waves which could
  capsize or damage vessels and reduce visibility.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...With the onset of strong southwest winds on
  Wednesday, water levels in the western basin of Lake Erie could
  approach or fall below the critical mark for safe navigation.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Mariners should consider altering plans to avoid possible
hazardous conditions.  Remain in port, seek safe harbor, alter
course, and/or secure the vessel for severe wind and waves.
