* WHAT...Southwest winds 20 to 25 kt with gusts up to 35 kt and
  waves 7 to 11 ft.

* WHERE...Central Third of the Open Waters of Lake Michigan,
  Lake Michigan from Charlevoix to Point Betsie MI 5NM Offshore
  to mid lake, and Lake Michigan from Rock Island Passage to
  Sturgeon Bay WI 5NM offshore to mid lake.

* WHEN...Until 11 PM CDT this evening.

* IMPACTS...Strong winds will cause hazardous waves which could
  capsize or damage vessels and reduce visibility.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Mariners should alter plans to avoid these hazardous conditions.
Remain in port, seek safe harbor, alter course, and/or secure the
vessel for severe conditions.

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for the open waters of Lake Michigan.

.DAY ONE...Tonight

Gales are expected into tonight over the middle third of the open
waters. A Gale Warning is in effect for this area.

Gusty west to northwest winds are then expected into tonight,
after a cold frontal passage.

A few thunderstorms are possible this afternoon and early evening
over southern portions of the lake. Small hail and gusty winds
may occur with the strongest storms.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Tuesday

Gusty northwest winds will linger into Wednesday.

Gusty south to southwest winds are expected Friday into Friday
night.

There are chances for thunderstorms late this week into early
next week.
