...GALE WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 4 AM CDT MONDAY...

* WHAT...Southwest winds 15 to 25 kt with gusts up to 40 kt and
  waves 5 to 8 ft.

* WHERE...Grand Portage to Grand Marais MN and Grand Marais to
  Taconite Harbor MN.

* WHEN...Until 4 AM CDT Monday.

* IMPACTS...Strong winds will cause hazardous waves which could
  capsize or damage vessels and reduce visibility.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...A strong push of colder air behind a cold
  front will enhance downslope winds from higher terrain into the
  nearshore waters within a few miles of the lakeshore late this
  evening and tonight.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Mariners should alter plans to avoid these hazardous conditions.
Remain in port, seek safe harbor, alter course, and/or secure the
vessel for hazardous conditions.

and the Nearshore waters of western Lake Superior.

.DAY ONE...Tonight

Strong west winds continue this evening and wave heights as high
as 7 feet. A Gale Warning is in effect.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Monday through Saturday

Winds diminish through the day Monday, then increase again late
Monday into Tuesday, with wind gusts of 25 knots possible near
Grand Marais. Conditions could become hazardous for small craft.
