A Dense Fog Advisory is in effect. Areas of fog could linger into the evening and tonight. There is a chance of scattered thunderstorms this morning and again this evening, especially on the North Shore. A few storms could be severe and produce hail around an inch in diameter and winds up to around 50 kt. Dense fog may develop over the waters due to rain from storms falling over Lake Superior. Areas of smoke are possible today. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday There is a slight chance of thunderstorms Friday morning with the highest chance over the south shore waters. Dense fog is possible Friday morning. There will be off and on periods of smoke. * At 1115 AM CDT, strong thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from 15 nm northwest of Grand Marais Harbor to near Grand
Portage Marina to near Pigeon Point, moving southeast at 35 knots.
HAZARD...Wind gusts 34 knots or greater and small hail.
SOURCE...Radar.
IMPACT...Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and
suddenly higher waves.

Horseshoe Bay And Safe Harbor, Grand Portage Marina, and Grand
Marais Harbor.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Move to safe harbor until hazardous weather passes.
Boaters should seek safe harbor immediately until these storms pass.
