Severe weather is not expected at this time. Occasional cloud-to-water lightning is the main threat posed by the storms. Strong southeast winds will develop this afternoon and will veer southwest tonight. Wind gusts of 20-25 knots are forecast this evening and will increase to 25-35 knots overnight. Dangerous waves are forecast from Taconite Harbor to Grand Portage this afternoon. Wave heights over western Lake Superior will increase early Tuesday morning to 2 to 8 feet with the highest waves near Grand Portage. Small Craft Advisories and a Gale Warning are in effect. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Sunday West winds of 10-25 knots with gusts of 30-45 knots are expected Tuesday morning with waves of 2 to 12 feet. Wind and waves gradually decrease Tuesday afternoon into the evening. Gale Warnings are in effect and Small Craft Advisories may be needed after gales subside.
