This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of Lake Superior
and the Nearshore waters of western Lake Superior.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

Strong and gusty northeast winds continue through mid morning,
with gusts to 25 knots and building waves to 4 to 8 feet. Winds
diminish through much of the day.

Strong and gusty northeast to northerly winds increase again
this evening. There is the potential for gales up to 35 knots
late tonight for the southwest arm of Lake Superior, the Outer
Apostle Islands, and Grand Marais to Grand Portage. Small Craft
Advisories, and possibly Gale Warnings, will be needed again this
evening into Tuesday.

Another round of thunderstorms are possible this evening into
tonight. A few storms may be severe with wind gusts up to around
50 knots and large hail to the size of quarters.


.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Sunday

Strong northeast winds, with gusts to 25kts, continue Tuesday
morning. These winds will gradually diminish through the morning
and turn to the north, then northwest through the afternoon.
