This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of Lake Superior
and the Nearshore waters of western Lake Superior.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

Elevated winds this evening into tonight will be hazardous to
small craft at the head of Lake Superior. A Small Craft Advisory
is in effect.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday

Strong southwest winds on Saturday and southwest to west winds on
Sunday with gusts of 25 to 35 knots are expected. A Gale Watch is
in effect Sunday along the North Shore.

...GALE WATCH NOW IN EFFECT FROM SUNDAY MORNING THROUGH SUNDAY
EVENING...

* WHAT...For the Small Craft Advisory, northeast winds 10 to 15
  kt with gusts up to 25 kt and waves 1 to 3 ft expected. For
  the Gale Watch, southwest winds 15 to 25 kt with gusts up to
  35 kt and waves 4 to 7 ft possible.

* WHERE...Two Harbors to Duluth MN.

* WHEN...For the Small Craft Advisory, from 5 PM this afternoon
  to 10 PM CDT this evening. For the Gale Watch, from Sunday
  morning through Sunday evening.

* IMPACTS...Strong winds can cause hazardous waves which could
  capsize or damage vessels and reduce visibility.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Mariners should consider altering plans to avoid possible
hazardous conditions.  Remain in port, seek safe harbor, alter
course, and/or secure the vessel for severe wind and waves.
