Severe weather is not expected with the first round of storms. A second round of storms is forecast this afternoon through tonight as a cold front moves through the region. A few storms may be strong to severe with large hail, frequent cloud-to-water lightning, and wind gusts of 35 to 50 knots are possible with the strongest storms. Winds will veer northwesterly tonight and winds will strengthen behind the cold front. Gusts up to 25 knots are likely and a Small Craft Advisory is in effect. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday Gusty north and northwest winds are forecast over western Lake Superior Wednesday through the end of the week. Conditions will be hazardous to smaller vessels at times through Saturday.
