DISCUSSION...
Dangerously hot and humid conditions will continue today
ahead of a frontal boundary forecast to sag southward into the
region this afternoon. Thunderstorm chances also return
this afternoon, mainly north of Interstate 40 with the frontal
boundary moving into the region. A few storms could produce
damaging downburst winds and heavy rainfall during the evening hours.

Storm chances expand across eastern Oklahoma and northwest
Arkansas Sunday as a frontal boundary moves southward through the
region.

For the first half of next week, hot and humid conditions will
quickly return. Thunderstorm chances increase again just in
time for the Independence Day holiday and persist into next
weekend.
