EXTENDED DISCUSSION...
Upper level high pressure will continue to bring dangerous heat
and humidity to the region through much of the upcoming week, thus
leading to triple digit heat index values. Potential for heat
stress impacts will continue, and additional heat headlines will
likely be needed.

As the upper level high pressure shifts west of the region, low to
moderate shower and thunderstorm chances will return towards the
middle of next week. Upper level high pressure will quickly build
back over the region for the latter part of the week, with hot and
humid conditions persisting. Lower chances for thunderstorms may
brush parts of far northeast Oklahoma next weekend.
