This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for a Large Part of Arkansas.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

Showers and thunderstorms are expected throughout the day today.
Some of the thunderstorms may become severe with large hail and
damaging winds the main threats.

Heat and humidity will also be a concern central and south with
heat indices over 105 degrees. A Heat Advisory is in effect for
these areas.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday

Temperatures will be slightly cooler on Thursday with some rain
possible on Wednesday. While a few stronger storms can not be
ruled out, widespread severe weather is not expected. Very hot and
humid conditions return for Friday and into early next week.

...Strong thunderstorms will impact portions of northern Clark, Pike,
Lonoke, Grant, northwestern Dallas, northwestern Jefferson, southern
Garland, southeastern Saline, Hot Spring, southeastern Montgomery and
southeastern Pulaski Counties through 1130 AM CDT
...

At 1051 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from Ironton to near Daisy. Movement was southeast
at 25 mph.

HAZARD...Winds in excess of 40 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects.

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 1100 AM CDT for
western Arkansas.
