This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for a Large Part of Arkansas.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

Scattered thunderstorms are in the forecast through tonight,
primarily across the northern half of the state. A few strong or
severe storms cannot be ruled out, with damaging winds the main
threat. Heavy downpours could also lead to localized flash
flooding.

Meanwhile, high temperatures today will top out in the lower and
mid 90s in most areas. The combination of these readings, along
with higher humidity levels, will produce afternoon heat indices
in the mid to upper 90s, with parts of the Arkansas River Valley
approaching the century mark.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday

The chances for thunderstorms will remain in the forecast Sunday
into Monday, as a cold front drops southward across Arkansas.
While a few strong storms cannot be ruled out, the potential for
organized severe weather will be low.

.Spotter Information Statement...

Spotter activation is not expected today or tonight.
