A few strong or severe storms cannot be ruled out, with damaging winds the main threat. Heavy downpours could also lead to localized flash flooding. Meanwhile, high temperatures today will top out in the lower and mid 90s in most areas. The combination of these readings, along with higher humidity levels, will produce afternoon heat indices in the mid to upper 90s, with parts of the Arkansas River Valley approaching the century mark. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday The chances for thunderstorms will remain in the forecast Sunday into Monday, as a cold front drops southward across Arkansas.
