...EXCESSIVE HEAT WARNING IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 PM CDT TUESDAY...

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for southwest Arkansas, north
central Louisiana, northwest Louisiana, east Texas and northeast
Texas.

.DAY ONE...This afternoon and tonight.

   Excessive Heat Warning.

While severe weather is not anticipated at this time there is a
chance for an isolated thunderstorm that could be capable of
producing strong winds and frequent lightning through mid evening.

The combination of high humidity and daytime temperatures in the
mid 90s to near 100 will result in peak heat index values 100 to 105
degrees into this evening.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Sunday.

   Excessive Heat Warning.

The combination of high humidity and daytime temperatures in the
upper 90s to near 100 will result in peak heat index values climbing
from 110 to 113 degrees Tuesday. Therefore, an Excessive Heat Warning
has been is in effect until 8 PM Tuesday evening.

Hot conditions will continue through much of the week. Heat index
values will reach dangerous levels through much of the upcoming week
so look for heat products to be issued throughout.

...EXCESSIVE HEAT WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 PM CDT TUESDAY...

* WHAT...Dangerously hot conditions with heat index values up to 113
  starting mainly mid to late morning on Tuesday. Until then, Heat
  Advisory conditions will be in effect for most areas.

* WHERE...Portions of southwest Arkansas, north central and
  northwest Louisiana, and east and northeast Texas.

* WHEN...Until 8 PM CDT Tuesday.

* IMPACTS...Heat related illnesses increase significantly during
  extreme heat and high humidity events.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of
the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.
